The wireless hand-held device for administering a sports match comprising a user interface for inputting commands to said device, a luminous display for signalling the players, a sound generating means for signaling the players, an input receiver for receiving input from a central computer unit, and an output transmitter for transmitting output to a central computer unit, characterized in that: the user interface comprises a touch screen, a screen stylus, a plurality of buttons, a voice command input, or any combination thereof.
