The invention provides a group of medicament for treating flavivirus infection, such as the serotype 2 dengue viral infection in human body. The inhibitors can be extracted and/or purified plant species such as boesenbergia rotunda, boesenbergia pandurata and the likes. These medicaments shall comprise of therapeutically effective amount of the bioactive compounds extracted from the plant.
