A Modular Bed Absence Alarm System

The present invention relates to a modular patient care system for signal indication of movements, positions and/or absence of a patient. Accordingly, the system includes: a) at least one sensing means; b) an electronic circuit with microcontroller; c) at least one alerting means ; and d) a power source; wherein the sending means is in associating with the electronic circuit and microcontroller for detecting the activity and/or responding the presence and/or absence of a patient from his/her bed or chair, and transmitting sensed data and/or information to the alerting means and/or caretakers.
