A nano-sized composite lacquer composition comprises a bio-based polyurethane. The matrix of the bio-based polyurethane is incorporated with a combination of cellulose nanocrystals, nanosilica and zinc oxide. A polymeric thermal film comprises a polymer film and at least one coating formed thereon of the nano-sized composite lacquer composition.
