A gargle composition for alleviating xerostomia condition, which comprises: water retention-humidifiers selected from anyone or combination of carboxymethycellulose sodium (NACMC), carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) of hydroxyprophylmethylcellulose (HPMC); saliva stimulants selected from a group consisting of sorbitol, xylitol and glucose; buffering agents; and a preservative.
