Medical Digital Image Data Processing

The present invention discloses a method and system for determining and calculating fractals dimension value for nonlinear fractals commonly observed in medical digital images. The calculated fractal dimension values of the fractals in the present invention proved a strong argument of the accuracy of calculation and competency of the system to measure fractal dimension value. Variations in measurement conditions also resulted in somewhat similar observations, thus proving the ability of the system. The ability of the system to process digital images enabled the omission of unnecessary noise from the images and at the same time preserving essential image data for fractal dimension calculation.
