A Method of Producing a Sandwich Structured Composite

The present invention relates to a method of producing a sandwich structured composite, characterised by the steps of: joining a polyester sheet to a kenaf fibre sheet using an adhesive to produce a layered structure; cold pressing the layered structure at room temperature for forming a bond between the polyester sheet and the kenaf fibre sheet; and curing the layered structure at an elevated temperature to obtain the sandwich structured composite.
