The present invention relates to at least one serine protease, lectin and/or immunomodulatory protein from Lignosus rhinocerotis for use as anti-inflammatory agent. The invention is based on the determination that serine proteases, lectin and/or immunomodulatory protein are the anti-inflammatory active components of Lignosus rhinocerotis extract.
