Cancer Cell-Targeted Drug Composition
TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
The present invention relates to a cancer cell targeted drug composition comprising an anticancer compound of 1’ acetoxychavicol acetate encapsulated in a nanostructured lipid carrier derived from one or more lipids, a surfactant and a cancer cell specific ligand. The present invention relates to the use of the cancer cell targeted drug composition in the manufacture of a medicament for use in the prevention and treatment of cancer, the composition comprising a first component of a lipid carrier derived from one or more lipids, a surfactant and a cancer cell specific ligand of CXCR4 chemokine receptor antagonist, and a second component of an anticancer drug of 1’ acetoxyachavicol acetate present in an amount ranging from 0. 5% by weight to 7.5 % by weight of t he total lipid , wherein the second component is encapsulated in the first component.
