Individual-Phase Control for Three-Phase Voltage Source Converter
TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
A method of providing signals for controlling individual phase of voltage source converter and a device performing the method thereof is proposed. The proposed individual phase control is based on decoupled active and reactive, P-Q control of individual phases. A single-phase phase locked loop is used to obtain angle from phase source [va(t)]. Negative feedback error of power source (PSa) is determined to find instantaneous power control current (i*pa). Then, voltage error of voltage [va(t)] is determined to find instantaneous reactive control current (i*qa). A reference current signal [C*a(t)], which is used as reference control, can be determined from the sum of instantaneous power control current (i*pa), and instantaneous reactive control current, (i*qa). The control operates in both symmetrical and asymmetrical operation.
