Photovoltaic Inverter And Method For Controlling Thereof
TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
The present invention relates to a photovoltaic inverter for converting a direct current (DC) from a photovoltaic array into an alternating current (AC) for an electrical grid, characterized in that: a boost converter; an inverter; a digital signal processor (DSP); a filter; a protection circuit; a transformer; and a sensor circuit. There is also provided a method for controlling the photovoltaic inverter to track a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) voltage comprising the steps of: converting solar radiation into DC voltage; boosting the DC voltage; converting the boost converter output voltage; feeding a reference current from an electrical grid to a digital signal processor (DSP); generating a sinewave pulse width modulation (SPWM); attenuating high frequency signal and passing through low frequency signal; isolating electrical fault; stepping up the photovoltaic inverter voltage; and characterized in that: the reference current is increased for maintaining the output voltage of the boost converter at constant value.
